WE ONLY WANT TO GET DRUNK
Our second Play, Pint and Pasty of the season presents a cycle of short plays.
On November 24, 2005, the Licensing Act came into effect, enabling 24-hour drinking for the first time in the UK and permanently changing our relationship with booze.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Act, Moveable Type present ‘We Only Want To Get Drunk,’ a series of short plays exploring our national relationship (and national obsession) with alcohol. Presenting an intergenerational picture of drinking culture and its impact on our lives.
As usual a drink and a pasty for every theatregoer, included in the ticket price. You have a choice of meat or vegan pasty. The drink will be either a pint of Totnes Brew co Beer, A glass of house wine or a soft drink. In the space of a generous lunch break you will be fed, watered, and watch some newly devised theatre. What’s not to like!
