Five time Grammy-winning Mexican jazz drummer Antonio Sánchez gained global notoriety following his score composition for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s acclaimed film Birdman in 2014, which earned him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and BAFTA Award for Best Film Music.

It was long before that mainstream attention that is Sánchez had refined his jazz chops though, with six critically acclaimed albums released since 2007. In what is a world exclusive, he will be playing the music from his debut album Migration, an album featuring the work of Chick Corea and Pat Metheney no less, 11 years after it was first released.

Antonio Sánchez: drums
Chais Baird: saxophone
John Escreet: piano / keys
Orlando le Fleming: bass
Thana Alexa: vocals

Opening the show will be Brother’s Testament, an exciting young band that take influence from a diverse spectrum of music and fuse jazz with hip-hop, funk and classical.
