The Andalusian tradition of flamenco dancing and music is by no means restricted to the country of its origin. In London there is a burning passion for the art form in the city's strong Spanish communities, from the little tapas restaurants to the flamenco festival at Saddler's Wells.
For our fist flamenco night at the Jazz Cafe we have commissioned one of the city's leading flamenco guitarists Ramon Ruiz to play alongside the Attab Haddad Quintet, who fuse traditional flamenco with middle eastern and classical influences. In true flamenco spirit we have also invited an authentic dancer to perform as part of the night to transport you to the summery streets of Sevilla.
Joining both sets of performers on stage will be professional flamenco dancer Ollie Giffin and singer Leo Power, who will add another dimension of Andalusian flair to the evening.
