As the grand-nephew of the late Alice and John Coltrane, it is no surprise that Flying Lotus has had an instrumental impact on the hip-hop and jazz scenes, blending the two sounds together with his infamous psychedelic tone.

Since bursting on the scene in 2006 by producing the bumper music for Adult Swim, Steven Ellison has released five studio albums (two of which are Grammy nominated), founded Brainfeeder Records (of which Kamasi Washington and Thundercat are both signed) and has produced records for Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy nominated To Pimp a Butterfly.

Covering FlyLo’s ground-breaking albums 1983 and Los Angeles will be experimental jazz band, Cykada. The sounth Londoners have been doing the rounds since bursting on to the London scene two years ago, with Jazz Re:freshed and Brainchild among their supporters, with a psychedelic sound that merges raw grooves, electronics and influence from across the world to create powerful soundscapes.
