DANIEL TAKES A TRAIN
The London five-piece return to The Troubadour for this special Christmas party to launch their new single North.
Daniel Takes A Train hit the headlines in 2018 after being discovered,30 years after splitting up, by top German indie label Firestation Records.
Following the release of their retrospective LP Style, Charm and Commotion, the band reformed with original members, played sell-out shows in the capital and recorded some brand new material for their forthcoming second album.
Over the years, the band have crossed musical genres as diverse as synth-pop, jazz/funk, jangle, new wave and indie rock but always with an eye on creating that perfect pop moment.
Praise for North: “A slice of perfect pop…would have lit up the charts in the 80’s” (gigslutz.co.uk)
The world's ONLY all-female tribute band to legendary 1970's glam rock band, Slade.
JUKE OF YORK - DJ Pete York
As the frontman and bassist of Jonny Quality, he appeared on TV shows across the US and UK, including the Conan O’Brien and Jonathon Ross shows. The band was where Pete first met Fatboy Slim, with Norman astonishingly offering his services as a support DJ. The chaos when this band of brothers turned up at Brighton boozer The King & Queen was predictable and Pete paid Mr Cook back by joining David Byrne, Iggy Pop and Dizzee Rascal on Norm’s BPA album.
He now brings his unique style and infectious energy to musical collaborations the world over and is a highly sought after DJ, vocalist, musician and producer working within the music industry.
