Del Bromham formed Stray with three school friends back in 1966. By 1970, they had released their first self-titled album and had become a hugely popular act on the club scene in the UK and Europe. Fifty-two years later, guitarist/ singer/ songwriter Del Bromham is still going strong, playing with Stray and his Blues Devils at venues all over Europe. With a career spanning over thirty years, eleven studio albums, four live albums and a DVD recorded live at London’s Borderline club.
Tonight, Del Bromham, together with friends and musicians will play a selection of the songs he has recorded and played over the years in various guises.
“In the 1960s, the first wave of heavy guitar idols were usually Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck. Bromham’s past work should be reappraised, as he clearly slipped through the net.” – Penguin Encyclopedia of Popular Music
Valhalla has won the prestigious GRTR.com Album of the Year award. A regular star-turn at the annual Cambridge Rock Festival, Del Bromham’s Stray mix scintillating guitar playing in a power trio format with melodic anthemic songs such as “All in Your Mind” — covered by the million-selling Iron Maiden.
