Founded in 2008, by Manchester-based trumpeter, composer and producer Matthew Halsall, Gondwana Records, turned 10 last year. Originally founded to shine a light on the
Manchester scene, Gondwana Records is one of the UKs most influential jazz (and beyond)
record labels, launching GoGo Penguin on the world and now home to an international
roster featuring artists from as far afield as Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia.
Following sold out shows in London Roundhouse, Manchester Yes and Tokyo Unit Gondwana Records is super excited to present Gondwana 10 Preston.
 
Mammal Hands perform exhilarating, Captivating, ethereal and majestic, Mammal Hands are driven by their unique line-up of drums, piano and saxophone. Their hypnotic music draws on a rich well of influences from Sufi trance and West African music to folk music, contemporary classical, spiritual jazz and electronica to produce something uniquely their own.  
Support comes from Australia neo-soul meets jazz songstress Allysha Joy and Manchester based singer-songwriter Caoilfhionn Rose whose beautiful music draws on influences from psychedelia to folk and jazz.
