Our famed Cuban night returns!

A night dedicated to the very best in Cuban music, we're delighted to present a double headline bill with Wara and Grupo Lokito.

When speaking of the UK Latin music scene, the name Wara resonates across the board. Originally a nine-piece with a scorching melting pot of identities with backgrounds spanning Cuba, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Spain, Germany and the UK, the band formed in 2009, soon finding that they were doing something nobody else had tried: portraying what Latin Americans face when they move to the UK; using their music as a platform to twist stereotypes, bend genres and combine stories in a provocative and intelligent way.

With contagious, in-your-face vocals, inspired keyboard playing and live production, a super tight Latin/UK mix on the rhythm section and their MC quick on the rhymes, Wara’s musical energy is palpable. If there was ever a collective sound that could embody the collision of the Latin and UK music scenes as well as the world at present in all its multi-faceted beauty and madness, this is it.

Joining them will be Grupo Lokito, who fuse contemporary Congolese and Cuban music creating a modern day cocktail of two of the great world musics. Based in London, the band have taken the UK by storm, wowing festivals and the club circuit alike with their blistering grooves and outlandish dance moves.

Influenced by the fieriest of contemporary Havana's music, Wara has roared it’s way through the ranks of the UK’s Latin music scene. With backgrounds spanning from Cuba to the Congo and Venezuela to Chile, the band has become of London’s most resonating urban soundclashes.

Their music plays deep into the urban Afro-Caribbean scene; dembow darts though bass-heavy hip-hop and reggaeton intertwines with the bounce of the mambo. Their lyrics, astute and provocative, do not hesitate to bend genres and twist stereotypes. Yet, Wara remains humorous even the most critical of dialogue, a band with a future that is as colourful and diverse as its past.?

The band is fronted by a latina power trio of Eliane Correa (En El Aire Project) (MD, keyboards), Congolese-Argentinean lead vocalist Juanita Euka (niece of legendary Congolese musician Franco) and multi-lingual Chilean-German Fedzilla on the rhymes.
