Archspace is very proud to present a headline debut from one of the most exciting artists bubbling out of Bristol's fertile underground right now, Ishmael Ensemble - the newly revised, live and exploratory jazz-tinged incarnation of this daring and densely talented producer.
Ishmael started releasing deep house tracks on the hugely respected Wolf Music before the release of his debut album “Sometime In Space” in 2016. The record is an exploration of dusty soundscapes & off-kilter house which Ishmael then developed into a Live A/V show with visual artist Amie Nowlan, watch their Boiler Room performance here.
2017 has seen the multi-instrumentalist launch the Ishmael Ensemble. Their debut record “Songs For Knotty” on Banoffee Pies Records belnds jazz & ambient music gaining support from Gilles Peterson, Alexander Nut & Tom Ravenscroft.
