The Sound Lounge is proud to present Isobel Thatcher who is bringing her full band show to Sutton on Thursday 13th July.
Isobel is an award-winning musician based in London UK. Isobel’s sound is a unique take on the classic Americana genre, with a blend of her love for the Blues music she grew up on as well as Roots and Country. This is all glued together with Isobel’s powerful soul tinged vocals and percussive guitar.
With a strong passion for story telling, Isobel’s self-penned songs on the trials and tribulations of life and love have given her a wide range of success singing all over the UK and internationally in venues such as the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire – where she performed her song ‘I Won’t’ which was winner of the Tech Music Schools (BIMM London) ‘Song of The Year’ as well as: Rampelyset, Denmark, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival, Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues Bar, Soho, The Troubadour, London and Ground Zero Blues Club in the USA. This has given Isobel a chance to build her reputation and hone her skills. This has also led to Isobel being a nominee in the GSM Awards in both 20/21 for ‘Best Female Artist’ as well as being a Category Finalist in the Blues & Roots Radio International Songwriting Competition 20/21 with her song ‘More Than Words’ and in 22/23 with her song ‘Wings.’
'...a plethora of blues influences as well as a good sprinkling of country styles with Isobel’s fine vocals being the proverbial cherry on the cake...' - Rock Regeneration
'She is a confident performer with a sparkling voice and well crafted songs . It was a pleasure to hear and to have a good reason to return to the Troubadour after 20 years..' - Sonja Kristina, Curved Air.
Isobel Thatcher and The Sound Lounge have teamed up to make this a special free-ticket event as part of our #artforall initiative, designed to ensure that every member of the community has access to high quality cultural events.
