    JP Cooper

    Pop-Soul

Following nearly 18 months of lockdown for the entire live industry, acclaimed British soul singer and songwriter JP Cooper is delighted to announce his first headline tour in almost 3 years. He will tour across the UK and Ireland from April – May 2022, in support of his highly anticipated second album  “SHE”.

JP will be returning to smaller, more intimate venues, taking in 23 towns and cities, kicking off in Ireland on 23rd April before finishing the tour in his hometown of Manchester on 29th May (full tour dates below).

Speaking about the tour JP says:

I decided a while ago that because of the pandemic and all of the struggle and separation that everyone has experienced during the last 18 months, I wanted to go back to more grassroots venues on my next tour, back to the kind of places I played when I was coming through. Firstly, to show some love to the venues themselves; they play such an important role in artists’ early careers and a lot of them have struggled to stay afloat during this period.

Secondly, I wanted to play these smaller rooms again to make it easier to connect with you guys and for you to connect with me. We’ve spent so much time apart that it’s going to be amazing to be up close and personal once again. The shows will be more intimate and stripped back, which will give us the opportunity to properly re-connect.

I’m so excited to be coming out with the band, some of whom have been with me for years, and to re-create that feeling we used to have when I did the open mic nights and small venue circuits around the UK. Keep your eyes out for the dates. On this tour, I want to shift the focus to the fans more than ever before, as we have all been through the uncertainty of the pandemic together. I want everyone to feel like a VIP. Cannot wait to get out and see you all.”

For each ticket purchased, fans will also receive a signed tour poster, souvenir lanyard and exclusive access to a live streamed Q+A with the artist himself. Tickets will be available for pre-order from Tuesday 24th August at 3pm, ahead of the pre-sale date on Wednesday 25th August and general sale on Friday 27th August at 10am.

JP’s headline tour comes in support of his upcoming album “SHE”, set for release on 15th October via Island Records. “SHE” is a collection of songs paying homage to some of the greatest women in JP’s life, with themes around relationships, faith, and family.

Best known for two of the biggest and most enduring hit singles of the last few years- Jonas Blue’s memorable smash “Perfect Strangers”, which Cooper co-wrote, and his inescapable radio hit “September Song” (which has racked up over 600 million streams worldwide), the Manchester born troubadour has an incredible 1 million ADJ Global album sales, over 4 billion total global streams, fuelled by his devoted 11 million monthly Spotify listeners. In addition, JP has racked up over 120,00 radio plays across 250 radio stations and sold out UK and European tours
  • WORRYWORRY

    WORRYWORRY

    Soul

Boundary defying solo artist WORRYWORRY represents the future of stadium-filling, soulful balladeers, whilst embracing cues from the underground R&B scene. His music is both enticingly familiar yet refreshingly authentic.

Growing up in West London’s Isleworth, WORRYWORRY was raised in a musical household on a diet of the folk greats who inspired his songwriting craft, including Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and John Martyn. Having spent the past few years honing his sound, WORRYWORRY knacks a refreshing soulful signature, blended with understated trap production, inspired by underground artists such as Bones and Spooky Black.

His innate ability and potential to connect with a wide audience was there from the start, anonymously releasing a string of cuts on Soundcloud including trap-infused ‘Fool’. Then came his label deal with Method Records (Slowthai) in 2020. Released in April 2021, WORRYWORRY’s debut single ‘Outside’ is a soulful track with trap undertones which CLASH described as a “Post-Weeknd R&B sound”, and the follow up single ‘Dead Inside’ co-produced with Jay Moon (Col3trane, SG Lewis) takes the dynamic pairing of underground R&B and alt-soul to extraordinary new heights. The current track ‘Miserable’, a piano-driven ballad where Joe’s panoramic vocals take centre stage, was co-written with indie prodigy Matt Maltese and shares the same lyrical depth and vulnerability as previous tracks whilst showcasing Joe’s dazzling pop sensibilities.
  • Amahla

    Amahla

    Soul

Singer-songwriter Amahla is a unique voice in British soul. Amahla entered 2021 with a string of sold out showscritical acclaim and an Ivor Novello nomination for her socio-political songwriting and exceptional voice. Alongside her Ivor Novello Award: Rising Star nomination, an award “designed to honour British songwriters and composers who exhibit exceptional talent and ambition”, Amahla is being mentored by the legendary producer and guitarist Nile Rodgers.

Amahla began her a career in music after completing a degree in Anthropology at the prestigious University College London. Inspired in equal measure by literature, her activism, time spent volunteering during the pandemic and current events, her latest EP Where Do We Go From Here? builds on the “deeply intelligent” (CLASH) songwriting of Amahla’s debut. “I’m learning to say things more directly,” she says. “I want to challenge the people that listen to me.” Where her debut project Consider This – championed by Bandcamp as one of the best soul records of 2019 – served as a sort of musical manifesto, for its follow up, Amahla wants her audience to reflect on their own relationships to the topics raised.

Over the last two years Amahla has built a loyal following performing in venues across London including The Royal Albert Hall, The Jazz Cafe, Union Chapel and Camden’s Roundhouse. Poised to strengthen her reputation as one of the UK’s strongest breakthrough singer-songwriters and selling out London’s prestigious Jazz Cafe and Lexington this summer, there’s little doubt Amahla’s list of achievements will be an extensive one before the year is over.

“Amahla may be one of the next big voices exported from the UK” – Bandcamp

"She possesses the vocal ability to knock your ears clean off your head..but instead puts all the focus and effort into the subject matter, using her singing ability as a vehicle for her stories” – Earmilk

“Deeply intelligent approach to songwriting” – Clash Magazine

“Amahla is inspirational, when I watch her perform and now that I know how she composes for me as a composer it’s something exciting to watch”  Nile Rodgers
