KAT PEARSON's sound has been described as “New Generation Blues,” a kind of "Night Club Blues" with a touch of cabaret style story-telling that she delivers with a dynamic and contemporary flavour.
During the show Kat and her band sonically approach issues of Life, Love, Loss and Happiness, opening within the listener, musical emotions hiding deeply in the soul!
Kat has shared the stage with many great artists, from Chicago Blues Queens Deitra Farr and Peaches Staten to Blues Hall of Fame inductees Mud Morganfield and Lil’ Jimmy Reed.
On tour they open shows for Joe Louis Walker and Craig Charles.
As a “Pop Artist” in the 90’s, Kat performed as a backing vocalist to Diana Brown and Barrie K Sharpe along with “Skin” (Skunk Anansie). Their appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show has clocked up many “views” on YouTube to date.
Kat has also appeared with various artist as a backing vocalist on Top of The Pops, TGIF and Richard & Judy. She was that memorable face in many “pop promos” with the Chemical Brothers, Eternal, Boys II Men and Sly & Robbie to name a few.
In the” twenty-tens” the band “Kat & Co was created. Their contemporary “beat” driven sound immediately gained rave reviews for their live shows. They recorded two studio albums, “I KAT THE BLUES” and “BLUES IS THE NEW COOL.
After a short hiatus Kat teamed up with her long-time producer Francesco Accurso to record Kat’s first solo album “MY ROOTS” released and toured in 2020.
In 2024 Kat and her band are planning a few single releases backed by more UK and European appearances.
