    Jazz

Ashley Henry is one of a new generation of musicians that have been raised with a wide range of influences.

Ashley Henry – born November 1991 when the last Kuwait oil fires extinguished, Miles Davis passed away, Gang Star released ‘Step in the Arena’, South Africa held its first cricket international in 20 years, PC World opened in the UK, Wynton Marsalis releases ‘Blue Interlude’, Freddie Mercury departed, Branford Marsalis finishes ‘The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born’ and the first performance of Alan Bennett’s The Madness of George III took place.

Born and raised in South London, England, United Kingdom, Ashley Henry’s listening and visual styles, range from Sinead Harnett, Digital Underground, ZuZu, Margot Fonteyn, Era Istrefi, Freddie Mercury, and Dreezy – through to having fans that include the abstract artist Gareth Nyandoro, being an advocate for the legend pianist Abdullah Ibrahim…and being a big 6LACK fan.

In 2016 Ashley Henry graduated from Royal Academy of Music, performed with Jason Marsalis and collaborated with legends Terence Blanchard and Jean Toussaint. He is the youngest ever to hit the bill for the International Piano Trio Festival performing with Robert Glasper, and top that year by achieving a childhood dream of performing in the final of the Unisia International Piano Competition in South Africa.

  • Biig Piig

    Biig Piig

    Soul

Big Piig is a once-seen-not-forgotten singer and rapper who draws on a unique and diverse upbringing. As a child she experienced a changing landscape of cultures, having been born in Spain and then moved to Ireland (before settling above the London pub her parents still own and run). And now, at just 19 years old, Biig Piig is unknowingly assimilating the kind of life experiences (which also include working as a poker dealer and a tequila bar waitress) that lend her music that blend of maturity, and youthful naivety.

With her widely-acclaimed debut tracks - 'Vice City', '24K' - Biig Piig has already won plaudits ranging from i-D, NME and Loud & Quiet to Fader ("the sweetest voice in South London" - UK Artists to Watch for 2018). With her debut EP set to drop this spring, it's all there even in the striking pseudonym of Biig Piig itself, which arrived after drunkenly reading the name off a pizza menu and relating to its unexpected charm. "The more I called myself it, the more it made sense. I'm just a mess really. Still cute tho."

    Acid Jazz

“The Godfather of Neo-Soul” Roy Ayers is a giant in the jazz world.

Having been instrumental in the inception of both the acid jazz and jazz funk movements, his significance is well known today both in his own compositions (with timeless hits including 'Everybody Loves the Sunshine' and 'Searchin') and in hip-hop, having been sampled more than any other artist ever.
