Fiona Hunter Trio
We welcome back Fiona who first came to the wider folk music audience’s attention when she joined the Scots song champions Malinky in 2005. Following the release of her first solo album she won the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards’ Scots Singer of the Year title in 2015. Further acclaim came when Fiona sang with the large-scale Grit Orchestra which celebrated the music of techno-folk musician Martyn Bennett.
Joining Fiona on stage will be Mike Vass on fiddle and Tom Gibbs on Piano
Argyll Ceilidh Trail
The Argyll Ceilidh Trail is five young, up-and-coming musicians showcasing their music across Argyll. The musicians will be on the road for four weeks, visiting Inveraray, Arran, Mull, Tiree and Oban and we are delighted to have them perform at this year MOK Fest.
The instrumental arrangement of the band includes piano, fiddle, accordion, pipes, whistle and Gaelic song.
