WE ARE MORIATY
WE ARE THEM. WE ARE YOU.
Moriaty return to The Barrel House this December for another night of filthy, dirty blues...
Moriaty were formed during a hazy and muddy T in the Park in 2010, where two guys from different Devonian bands decided to get together to make some cool music. The literature of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are heavy influence, springing to life once more Professor James Moriarty in a new, dirty, bluesy form!

Tickets £10 (+ fee) ADV / £12 OTD
We have played every town, worked every job. Smiled at every upset. Cried at every joy. We have been through more than most, but yet not enough.
Our music is for us now. To relieve the pressure and the pain. We give it everything we have.
Some esteemed endorsements came when the boys played with Muse & Seasick Steve on personal request by the artists themselves. Thom Yorke is a big fan after going to watch them at Leopallooza festival. Stephen Fry even appears on the record and members of IDLES have starred in previous videos.
Their music has reached far and wide and you can find videos of fans covering their songs from Milan to Mexico. Their Spotify hits are in the many millions.
QUOTES -
“If I was in a band, I’d want to be in Moriaty”- James Santer, BBC Introducing
“A handful of default bands always spring to mind when a drum ’n’ guitar duo looms into view, but Moriaty aren’t here to pander to such stereotypes… the sharp suited twosome are clearly having fun, devoid of agenda and pure of purpose… Bravo" - 247 magazine.
“Playing live they have such an impressive wall of sound that hits you like a rampaging herd of wildebeest. Its dirty, fuzzed to the eyeballs with romping ball breakingly handsome blues riffs a plenty, tied down with genius percussion, slick vocals and snazzy suits” - cleanslatemusic
