Enjoy a bit of luxury, good food and a view overlooking the stage in our first floor restaurant. Please note:

  • Restaurant tickets include a non-refundable deposit of £20 per person which will be taken off your bill at the end of the night.
  • Some guests may find their view slightly restricted from tables 11-20.
  • Our Restaurant Bar offers bar-style seating and has a restricted view of the stage.
 

The core sound of Native Dancer is based on elements of jazz, R&B and hip-hop, while also referencing some more psychedelic feels illustrated in their first two EP’s.

Now with the addition of Miles James’ production and recording techniques (Yussef Dayes / Tom Misch / Michael Kiwanuka), plus Ben Baptie’s mixes

(Lianne La Havas / Moses Sumney), the band’s sound has evolved into a grander world. With each musician's performance brought to life, together they form the three core structures of the band’s identity; jazz, modern production and song-writing.

Frida once said, albeit slightly in jest, that “Native Dancer are like the moody love-child of Weather Report and Beyonce”. Upon reflection, this off the cuff statement really rings true.

    Soul Jazz

    Native Dancer was formed in 2014. Born out of late night jam sessions, listening parties in an east London studio, conversations about boundary dissolution and a wealth of experience gigging on the London jazz scene and with some of the most interesting creative artists the UK has produced.

    Drawing on elements from their collective experience, Native Dancer have created a sound that weaves together influences from hip-hop, trip-hop, jazz, R & B and electronic pop. As individual artists the band has performed and recorded with an array of UK talent including Lianne La Havas, The Cinematic Orchestra, Joss Stone, Squarepusher, Mathew Herbert, The Invisible and ESKA.

    Since it’s inception in 2014, Native Dancer has released 2 EP’s to critical acclaim garnering loyal fans of their music all over the world. In April 2016, EP Vol.II was released by Japanese label Inpartmaint.

    Afropunk described it as: 

    “A refreshing burst of imagination, uniqueness, and purpose in a crowded electro-fusion landscape.” AFROPUNK 2016

    Since then, the band has gone on to perform throughout the summer at some of the UK’s most prestigious festivals including Love Supreme Festival (The Arena), Womad festival (Bowers and WilkinsStage) and JazzRe:Fest (Southbank).
