John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett return to the road, possibly for the last time, and to celebrate 50 years of musical comradeship.
Otway and Barrett won our hearts in 1977 when they released their hit single '(Cor baby That's) Really Free' and it's now legendary B-Side 'Beware Of The Flowers ('Cause I'm Sure They're Gonna Get You, Yeh)'. Following on from that they made their notorious appearance on The Old Grey Whistle Test and by the end of 1977, their legendary status was assured.
As Otway continued to find a follow-up hit (plot spoiler...he found it!) Willy worked with many well known artists and has toured with Squeeze, Madness and Steeleye Span and played fiddle, guitar and mandolin for George Hamilton IV. He also played pedal steel guitar on the influential Keith Hudson reggae album entitled Rasta Communication, along with Sly and Robbie. He also retreated to his workshop to make unusual instruments and some beautiful furniture and sculptures.
Now Britain's beloved madcap entertainers are back and on their way to The Sound Lounge for an up-close-and-personal night of fun, frolics and hit-filled music.
