Parra For Cuva is the alias for young German musician Nicolas Demuth; a wildly talented and widely respected platinum selling artist from Cologne.

Parra For Cuva’s new LP’s dreamy, melancholic title track ‘Paspatou’, which was released recently alongside the album announcement, ventures into a more pop-leaning territory than Demuth’s earlier releases, but it’s his artistry and individuality that continues to set him apart in an oversaturated electronic music scene.

    Parra For Cuva

    Downtempo

The moment that Nicolas Janco aka Parra for Cuva starts playing his melody-laden electronic tracks, it is as if a murmur went through the crowd: Eyes closed, people fall into movements in rhythm with his indistinguishable melodies. Interrupted through occasional sounds of cheering and clapping, everything seamlessly blends into a tapestry of sound and people and one hopes for this wonderful musical experience never to take an end.

Indulging in his relentless fascination for sound and harmony, the Nicolas commenced his quest for music at a very young age. Starting with classical piano and taking stops in Jazz, Pop and Indie music, the young artist soon developed a strong passion for electronic music that made him leave the countryside and move to big and creative Berlin. Using musical instruments, synthesizers and digital music editing, the audio designer masters the art of creating intelligent, intertwined music pieces from melodies, soft beats and sounds that he records in daily life. The result can be witnessed
listening to his new album “Paspatou”: A piece full of well-mended electronica that touches the soul, somewhere between melancholy and euphoria and most of all: well beyond mainstream electronic music.

With his new wonderfully sonorous 3. Album “Paspatou”, Parra for Cuva celebrates the paradox between the boundlessness of creativity and the cohesion of rhythms and beats. Not surprisingly, album is named both after the adventurous butler from Jule Verne’s “Around the world in 80 days” and the eponymous designation of paper based picture framing.
