In an absolutely spectacular singer-songwriter triple bill, Paul Mosley will be joined by Elaine Palmer and Jack Harris on September 14th, right here at the Sound Lounge in the beating heart of Sutton!

Paul Mosley is a multi award winning singer songwriter and composer. Known for his excellent story songs and between song banter.  His folk opera 'The Butcher' was a highlight of the Sound Lounge's previous home at Tooting. He has released seven albums and has graced stages at Glastonbury and Green Man Festivals. He has worked with an Icelandic Farmers' Choir and a Danish Puppet Theatre and has toured with just about everyone including Shane MacGowan and Jane Siberry.

"What a voice" (Jools Holland)
"This is great modern folk writing" **** (R2 Magazine)
"Combining Folk Noir with catchy choruses. Excellent" **** (Q Magazine)
"This is Mercury prime level good" **** (BBC 6 Music)

Paul is joined for this show by like-minded troubadours Elaine Palmer and Jack Harris. Elaine Palmer hails from an isolated village up on the North Yorkshire Moors in England but spent most of her life travelling back and forward to her family in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up in an old Watermill in the wilds of Yorkshire Elaine surrounded herself by music, writing songs influenced by her surroundings and music both in the UK and USA.  Elaine finely honed her distinctive voice and built a reputation for her emotive mesmerizing stage presence. Elaine has released a handful of records and toured the UK extensively, playing with the likes of KT Tunstall, Patty Griffin, Courtney Marie Andrews and Paolo Nutini.

With a beautifully conversational voice, an unerring sense of melody and a bittersweet and wistful repertoire, Elaine Palmer is undoubtedly a talent’ **** (MOJO)

The Welsh singer-songwriter Jack Harris ("a natural songwriting talent” - The Telegraph) combines beautifully delicate and observational songs with a wicked sense of humour that make his shows an absolute delight. He's performed at several Sound Lounge venues over the years and also played at our inaugural Folk In The Park festival in 2021.

To hear for yourself, check out Jack's wonderful albums including 2012's The Flame and the Pelican and 2018's The Wide Afternoon ("powerful and poetic" - The Guardian) and you'll know why the eminent American songwriter Anaïs Mitchell calls him "a priest of song who holds himself to an ancient, rigorous code of beauty most of us have forgotten exists."

Doors, 7pm. Show, 8pm. Mixed seating and standing.
