RedFaces release their new single ‘Way Down’ today. Recorded at Miloco’s The Pool in London and produced by Carey Willetts (Athlete), the single showcases a slightly softer sound for the band, with synths and subtle nods to their R&B influences. Lyrically ‘Way Down’ is about dealing with personal change, while initially struggling, but eventually coming to terms with, and wishing you’d done it sooner.

Chosen by NME as one of their essential picks for 2018, the year is shaping up to be the bands busiest yet, having already played storming sets at Tramlines, Sound City and Hit The North festivals amongst others. Next week they play Cornwall’s Boardmasters Festival, before a main support tour with Reverend & The Makers in October (all dates below).

Praise for RedFaces recent releases has been widespread and ever growing. Take It Or Leave It’ was chosen as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Introducing Track Of The Week’ and MTV marked them out as a ‘One To Watch’, as well as being featured on C4 cult TV show Tattoo Fixers.

‘Messed Up Feeling’ received more support from Radio 1, and was added to Radio X’s ‘X-Posure’ playlist, with its accompanying video garnering heavy rotation on MTV Rocks and The Box, and current single ‘Way Down’ has seen continued support from Radio 1, with Huw Stephens giving the track it’s national debut on his evening show, more support from MTV Rocks and Channel 4, as well as Spotify including the track on a number of their official playlists including “The Indie List”. This most recent campaign has seen the band make its live television debut on the BBC show “Saturday Mash Up” as well as features on the Official Chart Show.

2019 promises to be an exciting time for the band, with multiple releases in the pipeline and an ever growing fan base, it is already looking like the year that RedFaces will break from the ranks and into the public eye

    RedFaces

    Indie Rock

Fantastic hooks and melodies, a staggering live show and a healthy dose of organised chaos gives you just a glimpse into the world of RedFaces.

A gang of lifelong friends from Sheffield who have immersed themselves in the classics, drawing influence from the 50's, right through to the present day - they are quickly winning fans, friends and plaudits across the UK and are quite rightly becoming one of the most talked about bands in the country.

Following a ground swell of support from the likes of John Kennedy and Jo Good at XFM, Steve Lamacq on BBC6 Music, BBC Introducing locally and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 – RedFaces signed with legendary label RCA in the middle of 2015.

After a hectic touring schedule from Summer 2015 onwards, including Tramlines, Y-Not, Leeds and T In The Park, as well as tour supports with The Strypes and The Courteeners, 2016 has been all about the studio, as the band immerse themselves in the process of writing and recording their debut release.

With live outings being pounced upon by an ever growing fan base, desperate to be part of the adventure, exciting times now lie ahead for this un-ignorable four piece.
