Bristol’s one day, multi-venue festival showcasing the sounds of emerging and established artists, is set to take over the city on Saturday 29th March.

Across three iconic venues  - SWX, Rough Trade and Strange Brew, festival-goers won’t have to travel far to see the best new music that the UK has to offer.

Leading the first wave announcement is an impressive lineup of talent, headlined by the electrifying and honest Billy Nomates, the next-gen-yacht-rock 6 piece CVC, the exhilarating Gurriers and experimental seven piece KEG. Adding to the mix is one of the UK's hottest word-of-mouth groups and Bristol’s own Getdown Services, alongside other homegrown talent My First Time and MP3 Chainsaw.

Ritual Union has been spotlighting some of the most exciting names in music in Bristol and Oxford for the past 7 years, with alumni including; Fontaines DC, Katy J Pearson, Lime Garden, Warmduscher, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Self Esteem, Nadine Shah, Lynks and many more.

Fletchr Fletchr, made up of childhood friends Rohan Fletcher, Adam Sanders, Oli Williams and new arrival George Green, seamlessly blend various genres to craft their unique and anthemic sound. The band explore working life, relationships, love and loss across their recent music, and have created some of their most personal work yet following the heartbreaking loss of Rohan’s father.

The expression of hard-fought optimism encapsulates Our Girl’s as-yet-unannounced second
LP; dealing with themes of sexuality, relationships, community, and illness. Recorded at Rockfield
studios and produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, Dry Cleaning), Fern Ford (The Big
Moon, Prima Queen), and Soph Nathan (also of The Big Moon), this album, filled with warmth and
honesty, marks a significant artistic step forward since their acclaimed debut album, Stranger Today.
Stepping into a production role for the first time, Soph Nathan recalls: “Working on this record taught
me to trust my gut. I realised that we needed to make it sound and feel exactly how we wanted,
otherwise what’s the point?” Lauren Wilson, who completes the line up alongside Joshua Tyler,
continues: “It feels more confident to me… a lot more considered, we’ve had time and space to
    write.”
This creative clarity permeates the album: both intimate and expansive, tonally nuanced and richly
textured, it contains Soph Nathan’s most explicitly personal songwriting to date. This speaks to the
journey the bandmates have each gone through in the years since their last LP, resolutely and fiercely
committed to Our Girl, these three great friends not only know themselves better, but they
know what they want to say, and exactly how they want it to sound.
