Growing out of the fertile Norwich folk and bluegrass scene, The Corncutters bring together some of Norfolk’s most versatile musicians around a shared love of Bluegrass and American roots music. Equally at home ripping up traditional fiddle tunes or adding a tender touch to their own self-penned songs and tunes, their line-up evolved around the virtuosic mandolin playing of Nic Zuppardi (The Shackleton Trio, Dan Walsh Trio) with the guitar and banjo of Adam Clark (Nobodaddy). Their critically-acclaimed debut album ‘You, I and the Sky’ set out the musical furrow which they continue to plough with the addition of Joe Hartley (Redemption, Thin Lizzish) on double bass. An evening with The Corncutters guarantees fine acoustic music with soul, spontaneity, and exhilarating improvisation.
