Eight pipe bands from across the globe will send four of their pipers to compete in this head to head challenge, as 10 hidden judges decide who will take home the title in this must see event leading up to the World Pipe Band Championships the following weekend.

Participants this year include 2017 quartet, and world, champions Inveraray and District, Simon Fraser University, Field Marshal Montgomery, Boghall and Bathgate, Glasgow Police, New Zealand Police, Manawatu Scottish and Johnstone Pipe Bands.
