Vicente García is a Dominican musician, singer and composer, and winner of 4 Latin Grammys, including 'Best Folk Album' for Camino al Sol in 2023. He is the former lead singer of the Dominican alternative rock band Calor Urbano, which he left in 2010 to pursue a solo career, incorporating influences of traditional Dominican genres such as bachata and merengue with modern styles of reggae and funk.

In his music, Caribbean rhythms coexist with avant-garde and alternative elements that allow him to inhabit a unique sound universe. Vicente García has four studio albums: “Melodrama” (2011), the multi-award winning “A La Mar” (2016), “Candela” (2019). “Camino al Sol” (2022), the most recent work by Vicente García, was born during the pandemic; is a fresh and heartfelt collection of block recorded songs that make clear the journey he took with Richard Blair through string instruments and experimentation. Songs that play with simplicity in a light and kind tone. This album won 'Best Folk Album' Latin Grammy in 2023.

Vicente García has collaborated with renowned artists including Juan Luis Guerra, Alejandro Sanz, Cultura Profetica, Juanes, Ximena Sariñana and Maná among others.

He is joined by his full band embarking on an European tour this summer, making a return to London to play at The Garage on July 7th.
