Nathan is currently touring to support the single, which is out now via AWAL – his schedule takes him throughout the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Australia.
Recorded at Bush Studios in Cornwall and produced by Max Radford, ‘All Or Nothing’ is the first release from a mass of new material from the talented singer-songwriter. The track was written at the end of a tour when Nathan was feeling somewhat lost. “It’s about trying to stay focussed on something whilst feeling a weight of expectation on you,” he says of the song. “And, instead of talking about it, becoming more introverted.”
Everything about Nathan Ball feels natural and unforced. His music scales universal emotional highs with as much fluidity as it descends into moody introspection. A keen surfer who splits his time between Cornwall and London, it’s not surprising that Nathan finds his inspiration in the outdoors, and that much of his material is connected to his surroundings. “It’s where I write best; by the sea, in the mountains, in the woods,” he says. “I love being totally immersed in nature, so naturally those themes find their way into the music. I love being in the ocean, and feeling totally insignificant. It’s a reminder of the order of things.”
Nathan’s break-out singles, 2016’s ‘Right Place’ and 2017’s ‘Drifting’, which boast almost 5 million Spotify streams between them, connected with audiences in the UK and internationally. Acclaimed by tastemakers like the Line of Best Fit and Clash, the songs cross traditional boundaries of indie, folk and electronica, the universal thread being Nathan’s emotive and magnetic voice.
