A live-looped musical comedy about how far one woman will go to escape her demons… and which ScotRail service will get her there the fastest.
Maggie has had enough. When her childhood nemesis appears at the door on the morning of her 30th birthday, she gives in to impulse and takes drastic action.
Now, alone and inching towards Aberdeen on the relentlessly delayed 11:11am train, she has no choice but to ask herself some pressing questions. Will anyone track her down if she moves to Norway? Can she start her new life with only a phone and stale Go Ahead bar? And has she, finally, lost the plot?
Off The Rails is a witty, uplifting musical by Stephanie MacGaraidh in her professional writing debut, using original songs, a loop station and a host of colourful characters to tell the story of an unconventional quarter-life crisis.
