A windswept comic-drama about a young islander’s coming of age and their life-changing friendship with two funny and fearless lesbian bikers.

100 miles from the nearest Tesco, Ruari is working behind their dad’s bar in Ulinish as usual when two leather-clad bikers, Helen and Jane, walk in and open Ruari’s eyes to a world far from their own. 

Over three years of spring-time hikes the three become fast friends, but as Ruari grows into themself, conversations arise that threaten the friendship as well as Helen and Jane’s relationship. 

Breathtaking Roads is a new comic-drama about finding ourselves in the most surprising of places, and taking risks in life and love…with leathers on.
