A rare chance to spend an evening with the people behind the music.

Blue Water Giants brings together musicians whose careers have taken them from arena stages and world tours with Status Quo, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Robbie Williams, Procol Harum and many other legendary artists. Together they perform the songs, share the stories and relive the moments that have shaped decades of live music history.

More than just a concert, this is an intimate evening of timeless songs, world-class playing, backstage memories, touring tales and the kind of insight that only comes from those who were actually there. Expect soaring guitars, Hammond organ, powerhouse drums and classic tracks performed by the people who lived them.

Blue Water Giants may also be joined on the night by some very special guest appearances. This is that kind of night.

  • Meet The Giants

    Classic Rock

Blue Water Giants is more than a band. It's a collection of world-class musicians whose combined careers span stadium tours, chart-topping records and performances seen by millions around the world. Together they bring not only the songs, but the stories, humour and memories that come with a lifetime in music.
  • Josh Phillips

    Classic Rock

Procol Harum | Pete Townshend | Midge Ure

The founder and driving force behind Blue Water Giants, Josh Phillips assembled this exceptional group of musicians and continues to lead the band as its musical director. As Hammond organ player with Procol Harum from 2004 to 2022, Josh carried forward the legacy of one of Britain's most influential and revered rock bands. A highly regarded keyboard player, arranger and musical director, he began his professional career as a teenager, playing organ on the soundtrack to Quadrophenia, and has since performed alongside Pete Townshend, Midge Ure, Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton, among many others. His playing provides the rich harmonic foundation at the heart of Blue Water Giants, and it is the Hammond organ, perhaps more than anything else, that gives the band its warmth, depth and unmistakable classic rock soul.

  • Neil Taylor

    Pop

Tears for Fears | Robbie Williams | Chris de Burgh

Neil Taylor is one of Britain's most respected and accomplished guitarists, best known for his long associations with Tears for Fears and Robbie Williams. His guitar work featured on major world tours throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including performances of some of the most enduring songs of the era, from the arenas of Songs From The Big Chair to the stadiums of Robbie Williams at his commercial peak. Combining technical excellence with a distinctive melodic style, Neil brings decades of experience performing music that millions of people grew up with. The chance to hear that playing in an intimate live setting is not one to be missed.

  • John 'Rhino' Edwards

    Rock & Roll

Status Quo | Dexy's Midnight Runners | Peter Green

John 'Rhino' Edwards has been a cornerstone of Status Quo for more than three decades, bringing his distinctive bass playing, vocals and stage presence to one of Britain's most successful and best-loved rock bands. From sell-out arena tours to legendary festival appearances, Rhino has been at the heart of Quo's live sound through some of their most memorable years. He remains one of the most recognisable and respected figures in classic British rock. With Blue Water Giants, audiences have the rare opportunity to experience his musicianship up close and to hear stories from a lifetime spent on the road with one of rock's true institutions.

  • Mel Gaynor

    Rock

Simple Minds | Elton John | Tina Turner

Widely regarded as one of the finest rock drummers of his generation, Mel Gaynor spent over 35 years behind the kit for Simple Minds, helping to power some of the band's most iconic live performances and recordings. From arena tours to major international festivals, his driving, authoritative playing has been a defining force in the Simple Minds sound. He has also worked with Elton John, Tina Turner, Brian May and Peter Gabriel, bringing a level of experience and musicianship that very few performers can match. Seeing Mel Gaynor live, in a room this size, is a genuinely rare thing.
