Cheikh Lô is a legendary Senegalese singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, and one of the most distinctive voices in modern African music.

His sound is instantly recognisable — a hypnotic fusion of mbalax, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, reggae, and jazz, deeply rooted in African musical traditions.

Rising to international acclaim in the 1990s through his collaboration with Youssou N’Dour, Cheikh Lô has always combined musical mastery with a striking visual presence and profound spiritual depth.

After more than a decade, he returns with Maame — his first new album in over ten years — a triumphant artistic comeback celebrating more than 50 years of music.
