DAISY CHUTE celebrates the release of her album ‘Throne’

Returning to St Pancras Old Church with a full band of exceptional musicians, Londoner Daisy Chute will launch her much-anticipated debut originals album ‘Throne’.

An eclectic mix of folk, Americana, indie, classical and jazz influences inform Daisy’s work and this record is no exception. Collaborating with co-writer/producer Tim Baxter (Andy Burrows, Judi Jackson, Editors, Nick Mulvey), ‘Throne’ is about being thrown off course in one way or another, yet still finding hope through these challenges. Written over the course of the last 10 years, the songs have populated Daisy’s concerts and become fan favourites. Finally here they are released together in the way they were intended - as an album - with the addition of a few never before heard songs in their midst.

‘Throne’ follows on from Daisy’s critically-acclaimed EPs ‘Maiden, Mother, Crone’, ‘Cradle Songs’ and ‘Songs of Solace’.

A veteran of the stage, Daisy has been touring UK, Europe and US venues and festivals for over a decade, picking up global fans and awards, including a Grammy last year. When she is not performing, she is collaborating on tv/film/game soundtracks and musicals including her witch trial musical ‘Coven’ premiering this year at The Kiln from Halloween.

For those who have seen Daisy live before, you will understand why Fatea magazine described it as “one of the best live Folk Music experiences currently available”, and for those who have yet to hear her, early booking is strongly recommended.

Support for tonight comes from FELIX HAGAN.:

Felix Hagan is the co-creator of the Olivier award and Tony winning musical Operation Mincemeat. The show set the record as “The best reviewed show in West End History”, and is now also playing to full houses on Broadway, with a world tour beginning next year. In addition, he was the leader of the glam-punk band Felix Hagan & The Family, who brought their raucous blend of pop, rock and glitter to packed venues across the continent. Now performing as a solo artist, his new album Happy Songs charts a descent into madness, and the never-ending climb back out.
