Hip-hop icon Big L's life will be the subject of a live retelling this winter by Leeds rap group Defenders of Style.
With the help of a host of hand picked guest MCs, the trio will chronicle L's legendary story, which began with his first group Three The Hard Way.
His first notable appearance came on Lord Finesse’s 'Yes You May (Remix) before releasing his iconic debut album, Lifestylez Of Da Poor & Dangerous in 1995, and in '98 he founded Flamboyant Entertainment, his own indie label, through which he released one of his most popular singles, 'Ebonics'.
L's second studio album, The Big Picture, was put together by his manager, Rich King, and released the year after his death and went certified gold.
We hope you join us in paying our respects to one of the greatest ever MCs to ever touch the mic.
