Hailing from across the UK, Downpour are a high energy melodic hardcore band. With a potent blend of searing riis,
impassioned vocals, and relentless energy, they're carving out their own space in the UK heavy music scene. Featuring
Rich Lardner of Lock & Key and ex-We Struck Gold members.
Downpour's journey began with a shared love for the intensity of melodic hardcore music and a desire to push
boundaries. Drawing inspiration from the likes of classic hardcore legends and modern melodic innovators such as
Counterparts, The Ghost Inside and Stick To Your Guns., they've honed a sound that's both ferocious and melodically
rich.
Their lyrics delve into the depths of the human experience, touching on themes of resilience, struggle, and defiance.
With each track, they channel raw emotion into anthems of empowerment, resonating with fans who find solace and
strength in their music.
Since releasing their debut single ‘Losing Grip’ in March 2024, the band have been featured regularly on BBC RADIO 1,
Triple J, Dreambound, Primordal Radio, Amazing Radio & more. Having played Burn It Down festival in August,
completed tours alongside Hell Can Wait, Glass Grave and Lull, Downpour have kicked of their first year as a band
right.
