Dulcies’songs explore the themes of love and relationships, lust and longing, the joy of dance and music and the art of storytelling. Dulcie studied acting, fine art and English language and literature.
From the age of 22 Dulcie started busking and spent four years on Canterbury high street and surrounding towns playing guitar and singing her versions of songs such as Stormy Weather, Lilac Wine, I can’t give you anything but love, All of Me, and other jazz standards and soul songs, until she was asked to play some residencies at local restaurants and asked to organise and host a jazz jam session in Canterbury. The next five years were spent learning the jazz repertoire and meeting other jazz musicians. Dulcie formed lasting connections with these musicians and continues to play with them today, developing her sound and performing her original music. Dulcie performs regularly across London, Kent and the North of England.
