Conscious Sounds are pleased to announce Dura Mater Live at The Troubadour! Supporting the Collective will be none other than Contemporary Club and WISH. So make sure to make your way down to the Troubadour on the 4th of June to witness this amazing array of talent.
Dura Mater
Dura Mater are a groove focused eclectic experimental collective formed in Nottingham and now based in London. Incorporating elements of Funk, Krautrock and Psychedelia channelled through a tight rhythm section, energetic brass, jagged guitars, violin through samplers and synthesisers.
“I shall not attempt to explain the sound this band makes because it’s pretty much uncategorizable. But what I can say is their songs do not follow any of the usual rules, onstage they’re impossible to second guess, and each member appears unhinged. All of which make this band a powerful and visceral live experience.” - Dave Thomson
Contemporary Club
Hailing from the small town of Dartford,
the exciting, raw and guitar driven group have quickly shown both in and out of their community what being an upcoming indie rock staple means.
Their bouncing riffs, catchy melodies and genuine performances have caught attention since the band formed early 2024, seeing a few thousand streams on their self produced and released debut single 'Belong'.
Time will only tell what the future holds for Contemporary Club, certainly being nothing but the best of current Indie Rock and dedication for their audience.

WISH
Wish are Milo (guitar/vocals), Rosie (Sax), Henry (Bass) and Kitcatt (Drums) unified by the space between the weird and beautiful, the want for something more than the void. Wish made space groove rock - psychedelic jazz infused rock, taking inspiration from Andalusia, Latin grooves, traditional irish and Balkan music. Wish have exploded on the scene playing weekly across London since their debut in October, garnering a small and growing following of dedicated supporters.
