ELMS
From Macclesfield comes a band with soaring anthemic, melodic tunes in the classic tradition. Heartfelt lyrics and powerful instrumentation reminiscent of Verve, Killers and Keane with a touch more melancholy, Elms are one to watch - catchy songwriting with a great stage presence.
BIGGER THAN TEXAS
On June 6th, rising artist Bigger Than Texas—aka Gabriel Coulter—released his debut EP Alaska via Times2 Records. Blending heartfelt songwriting with analogue warmth, the EP explores love, longing, and freedom, closing with the moving single “Please Fall In Love With Me.” Influenced by legends like Dylan and Neil Young, Coulter channels his American roots and UK upbringing into dreamlike, folk-inspired soundscapes. Born in Cambridge and now based in East London, he began the project to reconnect with summers spent in upstate New York and the music he discovered there. With support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing, and fresh off a standout performance in Soho, Coulter is quickly carving his own space in the indie music scene. Alaska captures the spirit of vast landscapes and introspective journeys—aptly titled after the only state “bigger than Texas.” A second EP is already in the works, marking just the start of his promising career
