Folk eve 8th December
Emmi Maaria
Emmi Maaria is a Finnish singer, violist, and composer based in London, blending
contemporary alternative music with classical textures, folk influences, and subtle layers of electronic sound. She performs with a rotating ensemble of musicians, including Sanni Talvitie (violin), Freya Hicks (viola), Maddy Hamilton (cello), and Aris Solomon (alto sax/percussion).

She is currently working on a concept album, Daughters, which explores personal and shared stories from women across cultures, alongside the interactive project “Letters to Mothers,” inviting women to share letters to their mothers to inspire connection and intergenerational dialogue.

Phoebe Coco is a London-based interdisciplinary music artist whose work interweaves ecology, nature and contemporary folk songwriting with vocal performance and sonic practices. Her music has been featured on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2, including her EP I Am Not a Machine and her debut album My White Horse & I.

Alongside her artistic practice, she hosts The Phoebe Coco Eco Show on Voices Radio and leads The Tree Song Project, celebrating the more-than-human natural world through music and community collaboration. Her anticipated second album is set for release in Spring 2026.

Adela
Adela´s songwriting roams curiously through many sound-worlds, drawing inspiration from the wide range of music that has surrounded her throughout her life. She began writing songs in Paris, where she moved after finishing her degree in classical violin. She eventually brought her songs to London and has since done a songwriting residency at The Royal George, as well as played in venues such as The Finsbury and The Gladstone Arms. Songwriting opened a new door for her to explore her story as well as her instrument.
