Live at The Troubadour – Enla Arboleda, Poppy Prescott & Jorj Sabio
An intimate evening of boundary-blurring music and heartfelt storytelling.
Join us at the legendary Troubadour for a genre-crossing night with three distinct voices from the UK’s independent scene.
These three artists met at Chris Difford’s Songwriting Retreat and have been writing together ever since. Expect solo sets, surprise collaborations, and an evening charged with creative chemistry.
Enla Arboleda
Colombian-born artist Enla Arboleda blends atmospheric electronics with Latin rhythms, jazz textures, and introspective songwriting to create immersive, soul-stirring soundscapes. Now based in London, the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer crafts music that meditates on memory, nature, and migration.
Since relocating to the UK, Enla has played intimate and emotionally charged sets at venues like The Cavendish Arms, The Forge, Morocco Bound Bookshop, and The Old Dispensary. His second EP, Other Ways to Find Yourself (released in November 2024), offers a melancholic yet hopeful meditation on displacement and belonging, combining field recordings, layered synths, and poetic lyricism.
Enla’s full-length album is set for release in October 2025, expanding his signature sound into new emotional and experimental territory.
Poppy Prescott
Hastings-born singer-songwriter Poppy Prescott has a gift for drawing even the rowdiest crowds to silence with her soft, soulful vocals and folk-style storytelling. Growing up surrounded by musicians, she was performing live long before she was technically allowed in music venues.
Highlights of her career include sold-out performances at The Troubadour and Two Palms, festival appearances at WOMAD, and scholarships to Richard Thompson’s New York guitar camp and Chris Difford’s songwriting retreat.
With guitar influences like Adrienne Lenker and Nick Drake, and a love for Radiohead and Sam Amidon, her sound blends introspection with experimentation, with the help of her stellar band: Dan McConkey (sax), Harry Osborne (bass), Keir Tyson (banjo), Liam Talbot (keys), and Josh Walker-Martin (drums).
Her EPs Grand Gestures (2022) and Reasons Why (2023) earned airplay on BBC Radio 6 and praise from Tom Robinson, with her third EP upcoming summer/autumn in 2025
Jorj Sabio
Born and raised in Brighton’s green outskirts, Jorj Sabio fashioned a path into music with his own unique brand of Alternative R&B. Drawing inspiration from various genres such as Jazz, Soul and Pop, to more traditional elements from world folk musics, Jorj weaves personal narratives into abstract conceptual storytelling. Jorj released ODJI SPRINGS in August 2024, his genre-shifting debut album exploring themes of culture, heritage, loss and love.
