“A significant force in African contemporary music”

Kumasi highlife, spiritual jazz and stellar vocals – Ghanaian Fra Fra sensation Florence Adooni comes to our home for a special release show of her long-awaited international debut album A.O.E.I.U..

Florence Adooni became a rising star in the Frafra Gospel scene after releasing her debut album in 2011.

When meeting Philophon Records founder and producer Max Weissenfeldt, Florence became part of a 12-piece touring supergroup featuring several prominent Frafra artists and collaborated with the likes of Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy, singer Guy One, and with Finnish saxophonist Jimi Tenor.

The response to her first track with Max, ‘Mam Pe’ela Su’ure’, was overwhelming and soon the infectious sound of Fra Fra and Florence’s joy-filled vocals were to be found on stages across Europe.
