Henri Herbert will be bringing his blues and boogie piano mastery back to London's legendary 100 Club for one night only on November 16th. Back by popular demand after the last 2 sold out shows, Henri is ready to show off some fresh material with an exciting new band and album in tow, and is this time accompanied by Josh Williams (Austin TX) on bass and master blues drummer Mark Barrett on drums. The trio amplifies and deepens Henri's signature solo boogie sound.
From an early age, Henri Herbert was fascinated by the piano-pounding pioneers
Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and Pete Johnson. Born in France and raised in the UK, Herbert broke onto the music scene as a member of the explosive rock n roll band, The Jim Jones Revue.
After testing the waters with his own band, The Fury, Herbert made the move to Austin, TX to immerse himself in the rich history of American roots music. He quickly moved up the ranks of professional players and made a name for himself. Now one of the most sought-after blues and boogie pianists in the world, Henri tours extensively around the globe. He is a permanent resident of the USA and currently resides in Nashville, TN. In fact, his Green Card was awarded based on his skill as a blues pianist. A video of Henri playing an impromptu blues on the public piano in London’s St Pancras Train Station has now reached an incredible 73 million views on YouTube and is a regular feature of his live shows. Henri has sold out performance halls for royalty, showcased at jazz festivals, and brought down the house in bar rooms and dancehalls. His passion for capturing the essence of his musical heroes and elevating it to new levels is what makes him stand out above the crowd. Now with many independent solo albums under his belt, his latest project brings back the wild spirit and energy of early R&R, R&B, and garage boogie with a new studio album slated for the fall of 2025.
