Stripping hip-hop to its essentials — incisive lyrics over textured, smoky, sample-driven soundscapes.
Homeboy Sandman has spent decades carving his own lane in hip-hop, a Queens-born wordsmith whose wit, philosophy, and sly humour make every verse feel lived-in. On Soli Deo Gloria, he pairs with UK producer Sonnyjim, who’s cinematic, jazz-tinged soundscapes drift through dusty psych, vintage pop, and soulful horns.
The result is music that’s both playful and profound, a conversation between two artists fully in command of their craft.

A versatile talent who has checked every last box: Unsigned Hype in The Source, Chairman’s Choice in the XXL plus critical acclaim from Pitchfork to Rolling Stone. His latest album Dusty on Mello Music solidifies his status as one of the most talented wordsmiths in the game with a dizzying array of lyrcicism over beats laden with surface noise and grit. His solo catalogue is sterling and over the last two years he’s mastered the group dynamic in tandem with fellow legends Aesop Rock and later, a brilliant psychedelic slab done in union with Edan.
