    New Wave

    Ian McNabb formed The Icicle Works in 1980. The band went on to have worldwide hits with "Understanding Jane", "Birds Fly", "Evangeline" and more. In the 1990's, Ian worked with Neil Young's Crazy Horse. The 2013 album "Eclectic Warrior" was Ian's tenth solo release but the first was his new band Cold Shoulder. The band consist of Christopher Kearney (Blue Aeroplanes) on Guitar, Nick Kilroe (Black Velvets) on Drums and Andy Lord-Ashton on Bass. Two more albums have followed - "Kruggerands" (2015) and "Our Future In Space" (2018), the latter featuring a guest appearance from Peter Buck of R.E.M.
