Originating from Wrexham, IGLOO HEARTS are a captivating duo blending classical piano, folk influences, and contemporary energy. Married couple James (guitar/vocals) and Katie MacGregor (piano/vocals) infuse their music with originality and charm, building tracks around classical piano, alluring chord progressions, and impeccable harmonies. Drawing inspiration from Jesca Hoop, Mitski, Radiohead, and Kate Bush, they meld classical and folk elements with modern sensibilities.

Their talent has been recognized at the Purbeck Folk Rising and Liverpool Songwriting competitions, with extensive airplay on BBC Introducing and regional radio. Katie’s acclaimed performance on Channel 4’s The Piano (Series 2) garnered high praise from judges.

Igloo Hearts have shared stages with esteemed acts like Welsh Music Prize winner The Gentle Good, and BBC radio’s Mark Radcliffe in sold-out shows. They have also enchanted audiences at venues including the Liverpool Philharmonic, Llangollen International Eisteddfod, and various intimate churches and theatres.
Additionally, the duo collaborates with choirs on specially commissioned pieces. With their unique blend of classical and modern influences, Igloo Hearts deliver performances that are exciting, beautiful, and deeply emotive.

'Winners of the National Trust Forthlin Road competition which allowed them to visit, write and perform at Sir Paul & Mike McCartney’s childhood home 20 Forthlin Road, Liverpool' and BBC ‘Tune into Nature music prize 2025’ shortlist of 12 acts with their song ‘For the Thames Eel’.

Arty Jackson and Carys Lewin are ‘HUMM,’ a southwest based contemporary-folk duo with stories to tell, minds to change and worlds to re-imagine. Creating music which unites fellow nature-lovers with their inner activist. Soaring melodies and wistful instrumentation bring their earnest lyrics to life casting a collective spell over audiences with their rich harmonium drones, melodic finger-style guitar and lush ethereal vocals.
