The Tern was founded in 2025 by Finlay Glen and Gabriel Pearcey in South London, gigging regularly across the capital with their blend of American-inspired and English-folk sounds, ranging from alt-country to folk rock. Their first single, 'Gentle James', came out in 2025 and their second single, 'Winter Song' in March 2026. In 2026 they expanded into a full band, with Tien Albert on bass and Max Guest on drums, playing this year at venues such as MAP Studio Cafe and Sebright Arms. They are releasing their debut EP in August.
