KITTY WHITELAW: Jazz vocalist Kitty Whitelaw returns to the Green Note with pianist Alex Bryson to celebrate the American Jazz vocalist, pianist and composer Blossom Dearie.

Blossom Dearie was born in 1924 New York and over the course of her life time became a celebrated international singer, pianist and composer. She was made famous with her Bebop Stylings and moving lyrical story telling.

For this performance Kitty and Alex will be paying homage and re-interpreting Jazz standards and her original tunes sung in English & French spanning from her entire career. Including classic tunes such as “Plus Je T’embrasse”, “Im Hip”, ”Tout Doucement”“Long Daddy Green”... amongst others

Kitty Whitelaw is a Scottish jazz singer based in South London, a familiar name on the London jazz scene. She’s performed at numerous London Jazz Festival events and regularly collaborates with some of the city’s finest musicians.

“the charismatic Alloa-born singer has a theatrical streak that makes her performances just a tad other-worldly” - London Jazz Review
