    Luke La Volpe

    Folk Rock

25-year-old Bathgate singer Luke La Volpe is the latest star to emerge onto the national scene from the musical hotbed of West Lothian, home of contemporaries and friends The Snuts and Lewis Capaldi.

During the enforced hiatus of lockdown, Luke scored a Scottish Number 1 single with Dead Man's Blues from his Terribly Beautiful EP and organised the Sofathon Singalong online festivals in aid of the Music Venue Trust, helping grassroots music venues through the crisis. In recognition of his support, the charity invited him to become a patron alongside legends including Sir Paul McCartney and Billy Bragg. He was awarded the Male Breakthrough award at the 2020 Scottish Music Awards.

2021 has seen Luke come roaring back into the live arena with sold out shows at Glasgow’s King Tut’s and St Luke’s, support with The Lathums and Tribes and festivals including Latitude, Liverpool Sound City and Live at Leeds.

Luke’s current single Alter Ego, written with Yungblud guitarist Adam Warrington and Glasgow writer-producer Buzz Killer, "is for everyone that lost a bit of themselves this last 18 months but is fighting back to be the person they're meant to be.” the accompanying video features Luke battling with his own demonic alter ego.

Luke is working on a new EP for release in the new year and will embark on his first full UK tour in spring 2020.

Full Capacity COVID-19 Guidelines

We can’t wait to see you back at Colours and want your visit with us to be as safe as possible when we return to full capacity.

These have been extraordinary times and so as we reopen to full capacity, we will be continuing some measures to keep you safe and to protect our staff, artists, and DJs from the risk of Covid.

Please stay at home if you have Covid symptoms or believe you may have been exposed to infection. If you have already purchased a ticket or made a booking, then please contact us and we can discuss different options with you.

Before your visit we ask you to please take a lateral flow test to check you do not have Covid, however providing a negative result will not be a condition of entry. We also strongly advise you do your part and get your vaccination, however proof of this will not be asked for.

Whilst masks will not be mandatory during your time at Colours, these do offer an additional layer of protection and we will support your choice to continue wearing one. Our staff may choose to remain wearing masks; if so, please respect their choice to do so.

We will be deep cleaning the building regularly and there will be additional sanitising units around the building. We ask you to please play your part in keeping the building clean from contact risk by regularly washing your hands and using the sanitiser provided.

Finally, please enjoy yourselves (safely). This has been a tough year on all of us and we deserve to feel some good vibrations. Thanks for reading and we look forward to seeing you.
