Luke Marzec Full Live Band Album Launch

Luke Marzec is set to captivate audiences with the launch of his debut album at The Barrel House Ballroom in Totnes.

Known for his unique vocals, Marzec "has the type of rich, booming, wise-beyond-its-years voice that'll make you do a double take."

The multi-instrumentalist fuses jazz, soul, electronic, and R&B; influenced by the soulful warmth of Motown and the raw energy of experimental sound design, Marzec re-imagines classic sound for a new era.

Accompanied by his newly-formed, Devon-based live band featuring a full horn section, rhythm section, and live electronics, this performance offers an intimate preview of the album, giving Devonians first access to the physical vinyl edition of the album before its official digital release.

Luke Marzec Bio

Luke Marzec began his musical journey early, starting with the violin, followed by the saxophone and piano, earning him a spot at the Royal College of Music’s Junior Department at age 11. Throughout his youth, he led classical and jazz ensembles but craved more creative freedom beyond structured training. University offered a fresh start — philosophy studies, his first band, and immersion in the north-east's vibrant indie-psych scene.

In 2018, he released his debut EP Chances, gaining acclaim from DIY and The Line Of Best Fit. Subsequent EPs showcased his evolving sound, leading to collaborations with Maverick Sabre, VC Pines, and Jazzanova, and a feature on Johannes Brecht’s “Voicing Something.” His Spotify now boasts over 15 million streams.

Today, Luke is part of the experimental synth-jazz trio Lazy H and the Loose Cables, merging modular synths, drum machines, and sax to craft live soundscapes, selling out Soho’s Pizza Express in May 2025. He is also part of a collective that curates Headroom, a dynamic London jam session spotlighting top jazz and electronic talent.

After a couple of post-pandemic years living on a narrowboat in the English countryside, Luke moved to Devon, where he began working on his debut album, recording in his barn-studio with neighbor David Beauchamp (drummer for Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard). "Something Good Out Of Nothing" is set for digital release on August 15th, with fans getting the chance to secure the physical record ahead of time.
