Matt Kent is a New York-born, London-based artist known for his soulful voice and genre-blending musical style. Praised by London Jazz News for his “vocal quality, confidence, and ease on stage,” Matt is gaining international recognition for his innovative approach to performance and songwriting.
His viral TikTok series, Turning Classical Music into Pop Songs, has captured over 40 million views and built a loyal fanbase of more than 300,000 followers across social media. In 2019, Matt’s unique talent caught the attention of Grammy-nominated producer Dante Lattanzi, leading to a partnership with Caelum Music Production. His breakout single Lacrimosa has now surpassed 13 million streams, marking a major milestone in his career.
As a songwriter and performer, Matt has won several international competitions, including The Yamaha Music London Ambassadors Competition alongside collaborator Liv Lester. The duo were selected by legendary UK broadcaster Chris Evans to open for James Bay at CarFest South, performing live for over 40,000 people. Their performances have lit up legendary venues in both London and New York, including Ronnie Scott’s, The Bedford, and The Bitter End.
Matt and Liv are currently in the process of recording their debut album and many of these new songs will be performed live for the first time tonight.
