If you require accessibility assistance to enter the building we can offer priority entry for you to arrive 15 minutes before the doors open for any show. There is one small step (but ramped) access into the venue via the doors to the venue on the side street Severus Road, which is on the left of the building as you face The Grand.
The accessible viewing area is located in the Stalls stage right wings, with great sight lines to the stage, step free access too our access toilet, which is located within the Gender Neutral toilet block. Please note on occasion the Gender Neutral Toilets can be made single gender, in which case ask one of our ushers to escort you to the toilet. Unfortunately we don’t have step free access to the dance floor, circle or upper circle or the bars themselves, but we can allocate a staff member to come and take your food & drinks order and deliver it to you run the accessible viewing area.
If you require step free access to the venue and and accessible viewing area outlined above please contact us in advance so we can prepare for your visit and give you a great experience and night out with us.
For wheelchair and mobility scooter users – we have a small ramp which we use at the side of the building to go over one small step into the stalls auditorium. The ramp has a weight limit 180kg (roughly 28.5 stone). Please email info@claphamgrand.com if you are unable to move from your wheelchair/scooter and believe the weight combination to be an issue for the ramp and we can arrange alternate ways of getting you into the building safely.
Our access cubicle is wide enough to accommodate a standard sized manual & automatic wheel chair, with room to manoeuvre. If you have a larger chair, please contact the venue directly and we will provide as much information as possible to help you make an informed decision before attending the venue.
The smoking area is located at the front of our venue. If a person using a wheelchair wants to go outside to smoke, just speak to a member of staff in the reception area, and they will assist you.
We look forward to seeing you here for a show – if you have any more questions at all don’t hesitate to contact us – info@claphamgrand.com
