Nouvelle Vague, the post-punk bossa nova cover project, founded by Marc Collin and the late Olivier Libaux in 2003, has become an international musical phenomenon over the past two decades. Initially conceived as a unique tribute, Nouvelle Vague's first album was an unexpected worldwide success. The band's fusion of melancholic post-punk and bossa nova, coupled with their bold approach to French reinterpretation, sets them apart. The new album, inspired by singer Alonya's performance of The Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go," continues the New Wave's tradition of reinventing classics. Once again, it testifies to the impact of Nouvelle Vague's musical heritage and its timelessness.
