In the late 70s and 80s, as Lagos pulsed with synths, boogie basslines and the glow of mirrorballs, Oby Onyioha brought us anthems like ‘Enjoy Your Life’ (featured on the Doing It in Lagos compilation) and ‘I Want to Feel Your Love’.
Her sound captured the cosmopolitan energy of the city at night, blending West African rhythm with the sleek futurism of disco’s golden age.
On stage, she is joined by Sai Galaxy, whose crisp, rhythmically rich Afro-house production and glowing synth lines create a vibrant dialogue with Oby’s radiant vocals.
